A case of true malignant mixed tumor of the submandibular gland is reported. The submandibular tumor, occurring in a 52-year-old man, started to grow rapidly after a long history without any change in size. Surgical resection was carried out and the resected tumor measured 5.5 cm with a cut surface showing mixed solid structures. Microscopically, the tumor had both carcinomatous and sarcomatous elements, the former consisting of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma with squamous cell differentiation and the latter consisting of osteosarcoma with chondrosarcomatous and fibrosarcomatous elements

Malignant mixed müllerian tumor of the fallopian tube is an extremely rare neoplasm, with less than 30 cases reported. Clinical signs and symptoms are usually nonspecific and include lower abdominal pain, fever, and vaginal bleeding. The age at diagnosis varies from 14 to 76 years, with a mean of 55 years. Prognosis is poor, with only one woman surviving more than five years. Surgery is the treatment of choice, although chemotherapy may be of some benefit.

An extremely rare case of malignant mixed tumor of the liver in adults is reported. A 60-year-old man was admitted because of abdominal fullness. Abdominal CT-scan demonstrated a low density lesion surrounded by high density ring area in the liver. Liver scintigram and selective hepatic angiography revealed a malignant tumor mass which was indistinguishable from other malignant masses. Malignant mixed mullerian tumors of the female genital tract are rare and occur least commonly in the fallopian tube. A case is reported and 51 other cases in the literature are reviewed. The mean age at diagnosis is 59 years. Abdominal pain is the most common presenting complaint. A pelvic or abdominal mass is present in 75% of patients. The diagnosis is not usually established until surgery, with the most common preoperative diagnosis being ovarian malignancy.
