Multidomain kinases such as c-Src and c-Abl are regulated by complex allosteric interactions involving their noncatalytic SH3 and SH2 domains. Here we show that enhancing natural allosteric control of kinase activity by SH3/linker engagement has long-range suppressive effects on the kinase activity of the c-Abl core. Effects of different dietary fats on plasma, hepatic and biliary lipids were determined in male golden Syrian hamsters (Mesocricetus auratus) fed on purified diets for 7 weeks. Separation and structural determination of the chloroform-soluble components obtained from the peels of the persimmon (Diospyros kaki Thunb.) were performed. β-Carotene, lycopene, β-cryptoxanthin mono-myristic acid ester, zeaxanthin di-myristic acid ester, the latter two of which were accompanied by a small amount of palmitoleic acid in the fatty acid moiety, and oleanolic acid were identified.
