[Current Status Analysis and Pathway Exploration of the Technology Transfer in Forensic Medicine].

The technology transfer is a vital task for the development of China's scientific and technological innovation system. As a discipline that integrates technological and legal characteristics, forensic medicine has distinct particularities in terms of attribute orientation, achievement forms and application scenarios, making it infeasible to directly adopt the market-oriented transformation models applied in general industrial fields. Based on the disciplinary characteristics, this paper systematically analyzes the characteristics, major problems and structural causes affecting the transfer of

Outcome of assisted reproductive technologies after different embryo transfer strategies.

The outcomes of 1028 assisted reproductive technology cycles were studied retrospectively, considering two different periods of embryo transfer. In the first period, 262 cycles in women < 36 years old were studied, in which three embryos were transferred, followed by 157 cycles in women > or = 36 years, in which four embryos were transferred. In the second period, 332 cycles were evaluated in women < 36 years and 277 cycles in women > or = 36 years old, reducing the number of embryos transferred to two and three respectively. Embryos were only scored morphologically, and the best embryos were

Effect of sequential cleavage and blastocyst embryo transfer compared to single cleavage stage embryo transfer on assisted reproductive technology outcome: An RCT.

BACKGROUND: Assisted reproductive technology (ART), offers hope for many infertile couples by increasing the chance of successful pregnancy. The success of in vitro fertilization depends on various factors, in which embryo transfer (ET) is one of the critical steps influencing in vitro fertilization success rates. Extended embryo culture and blastocyst-stage ET have been considered in ART due to their potential benefits including improved implantation rates. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to compare the outcomes of sequential ET vs single cleavage-stage ET in women undergoing a fresh ET cycle wi

[Strategies and Pathways for Transferring Visual Evoked Potential Technology into Forensic Clinical Identification].

Visual evoked potential (VEP) can objectively reflect the conductive function of the visual pathway, so it is considered as one of the core technologies for objective evaluation of visual function impairment in forensic clinical identification. However, when such visual electrophysiological devices are transferred from clinical medical scenarios to forensic identification scenarios, they still face common issues such as malingering and exaggeration of visual function impairment. This paper systematically reviews the current application status and translational needs of visual electrophysiologi

Sleep Dynamic Analysis Technology Based on Cross-Phase-Amplitude Transfer Entropy in Multiple Brain Regions.

Information flow existed across brain regions, and varies dynamically during sleep. In evaluating brain communication and neural-oscillation connectivity across spatiotemporal scales, the phase-amplitude coupling (PAC) is well-explored. However, the directional connectivity is still a deficiency. In this work, we propose a cross-phase-amplitude transfer entropy method in quantifying the characteristics of multi-regional sleep dynamics. The simulation of multivariate nonlinear and nonstationary signals verifies both effectiveness and veracity of the proposed algorithm. The results achieved in s

Assisted Reproductive Technology and Newborn Size in Singletons Resulting from Fresh and Cryopreserved Embryos Transfer.

OBJECTIVES AND STUDY DESIGN: The aim of this study was two-fold: to investigate the association of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and small newborn size, using standardized measures; and to examine within strata of fresh and cryopreserved embryos transfer, whether this association is influenced by parental infertility diagnoses. We used a population-based retrospective cohort from Michigan (2000-2009), Florida and Massachusetts (2000-2010). Our sample included 28,946 ART singletons conceived with non-donor oocytes and 4,263,846 non-ART singletons. METHODS: Regression models were used

Technology transfer and scale-up of the Flublok recombinant hemagglutinin (HA) influenza vaccine manufacturing process.

Multiple different hemagglutinin (HA) protein antigens have been reproducibly manufactured at the 650L scale by Protein Sciences Corporation (PSC) based on an insect cell culture with baculovirus infection. Significantly, these HA protein antigens were produced by the same Universal Manufacturing process as described in the biological license application (BLA) for the first recombinant influenza vaccine approved by the FDA (Flublok). The technology is uniquely designed so that a change in vaccine composition can be readily accommodated from one HA protein antigen to another one. Here we presen

Effects of waiting time between failed fresh cycle embryo transfer and the next frozen embryo transfer on pregnancy outcomes in assisted reproductive technology.

OBJECTIVE: To explore how waiting time after failed fresh cycle embryo transfer affects the pregnancy outcomes of the next frozen embryo transfer (FET). METHODS: A retrospective analysis was carried out on the data of women who had received at least one FET after a failed fresh embryo transfer between January 2013 to December 2019. The women were grouped based on the "time" of the first FET, referring to the period between a failed fresh embryo transfer and the beginning of the next cycle of FET. This time is divided into two classes: immediate (<90 days after the failed fresh embryo transfer

Application of seminal plasma to female genital tract prior to embryo transfer in assisted reproductive technology cycles (IVF, ICSI and frozen embryo transfer).

BACKGROUND: The female genital tract is not exposed to seminal plasma during standard assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles. However, it is thought that the inflammatory reaction triggered by seminal plasma may be beneficial by inducing maternal tolerance to paternal antigens expressed by the products of conception, and may increase the chance of successful implantation and live birth. OBJECTIVES: To assess the effectiveness and safety of application of seminal plasma to the female genital tract prior to embryo transfer in ART cycles. SEARCH METHODS: We searched the following databas

Multiple factors shape technology transfer for the development and manufacture of vaccines in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted significant inequalities in access to medicines and emergency supplies, including vaccines, that persist in Latin America and the Caribbean. From a regional perspective, it is necessary to improve the conditions to ensure more equitable and inclusive access to health technologies, both in normal scenarios and during future biological threats. Technology Transfer emerges as an effective tool to permanently avoid scarcity in global and regional vaccine supplies. Here we describe the global and regional ecosystem of Technology Transfer, its actors, roles, interac

Savanna chimpanzee tool and fruit transfers facilitate the transmission of technological behaviours at Dindefelo, Senegal.

Social learning is a key factor in the transmission of technological behaviours amongst primates. We studied chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes verus) social interactions in the context of tool and proto-tool use behaviours in the savanna site of Dindefelo, Senegal. Between 2017 and 2025, we obtained 14 h 58 min of camera trap footage at 14 locations where chimpanzees performed tool-use behaviours, namely algae fishing (for filamentous green algae: Zygnemataceae), ant dipping (for army ants: Dorylus sp.), and termite fishing (for termites: Macrotermitinae). We also obtained 30 min of camera trap foot
