Lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma (LELC) of the urethra is an exceptionally rare and aggressive neoplasm, with limited evidence available to inform optimal management. We present the case of a 63-year-old male diagnosed with high-grade urethral LELC, who presented with locally advanced disease. Transitional cell carcinoma of the urethra in men after radical cystectomy for bladder carcinoma have an incidence which varies from 4 to 18%. The Authors present their experience of 6 cases (6/196; 3.06%) analysing the characteristics of the urethral neoplasm and confirming the systematic cystourethrectomy when there is a urethra prostatic and bladder neck infiltration or when there is a urethral ca in situ. It also underlines the role of the clinical, radiological, cytological and urethro-endoscopical follow-up in patients who have undergone a cystoprostatovesciculectomy.

A case of epidermotropic carcinoma involving the urethral meatus and the skin of the glans penis was associated with primary transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder with urethral extension. The histopathologic and histochemical features were identical to those seen in extramammary Paget's disease. There was positive intracytoplasmic staining for the carcinoembryonic antigen with the use of an immunoperoxidase stain, another similarity between this neoplasm and extramammary Paget's disease. Neoplasms arising within urethral diverticula are rare. It is important to know if a diverticulum is filled by tumor, but traditional diagnostic methods, such as voiding cystourethrography, cannot detect a tumor or diverticulum, as in our case. We report an unusual case of leiomyoma developing in a female urethra diverticulum and review the literature.

Bladder base impressions due to prostate hypertrophy are a common urographic finding in older males. A similar appearance may be occasionally seen in females and presents a more difficult diagnostic problem. Sixteen such cases of bladder base defects in females at two institutions were identified. The impressions were caused by symphysis pubis asymmetry, postoperative change, urethral diverticulum, levator ani impression, or "urethral syndrome." Vaginal fibromyoma, ectopic ureterocele, and intramural bladder neoplasm can also cause this defect, although no such cases were found in this series.

Because diagnosis of urethral diverticulum is often elusive the presence of a tumor within the diverticular cavity may be overlooked until it has grown beyond the confines of the diverticulum. Serous carcinomas most commonly arise within the uterine corpus or ovary/fallopian tube, but there are 2 prior case reports of primary vaginal serous carcinoma. We report 2 examples of high-grade serous carcinoma arising within the urethra or a urethral diverticulum (1 case each). Both neoplasms exhibited the classic morphologic features of high-grade serous carcinoma, and a combination of clinical, radiologic, and pathologic examination excluded other possible sites of primary neoplasm.

Primary melanomas of the genitourinary tract are rare and constitute less than 1% of all melanomas. Since the clinical presentation of urethral melanoma is similar to commoner urothelial carcinomas, there is frequent delay in diagnosis. BACKGROUND: Ureteral fibro-epithelial polyp (UFP) is a rare benign ureteral tumor, and surgical removal of the polyps is still the preferred solution. Postoperative spindle cell nodule is a rare benign reactive lesion of the genitourinary tract that can closely mimic malignant spindle cell neoplasms.
