The incidence of wrist tuberculosis is rare. Clinical features and radiographs are not conclusive in the beginning, happen to delay the achievement of the diagnosis, and thus result in poor treatment. We present a case report of wrist tuberculosis that had delayed diagnosis. Background Extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) is known to have many and varied presentations. However, isolated involvement of bone with tubercular infection is uncommon. The clinical features of such infections are known to mimic chronic pyogenic osteomyelitis, Brodie abscess, or tumors, but not acute monoarthritis. This article reviews the superficial, skeletal, and ligamentous anatomy of the wrist. Standard and alternative exposures of the wrist joint and the distal radioulnar joint are discussed, emphasizing the importance of avoiding nerve injury. Standard exposure of the wrist joint is used in the treatment of carpal ligament injuries, fractures, and dislocations. Case presentations illustrate these techniques.

Most carpal fractures are based on the same injury mechanism. In most cases the injury is caused by a fall on the dorsiflexed hand, which is raised as a protective measure, and less frequently by a fall on the clenched fist. PURPOSE: The advantage of wrist arthroplasty remains controversial, primarily due to the high complication rate. For this reason it seems sensible to monitor the results of different types of prostheses even with small numbers of cases. The wrist joint is a highly mobile functional joint. Wrist conditions including traumatic and degenerative arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and giant cell tumors of the distal radius, cause significant pain and mobility impairment. In joint surgery, the decision to use joint prostheses to reconstruct joint function is greatly influenced by the characteristics of the prosthesis (Mok et al., 2016). However, traditional implants have limitations such as shape mismatch, inadequate implant-bone interface strength which causes loosening, and poor bone ingrowth (Zhang et al., 2014).

Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a rare, noninfectious, neurotrophic dermatosis. We observed a case of PG mimicking cutaneous and osteoarticular infections that presented with a prolonged ulcer on the forearm, severe wrist pain, anemia, substantial local and systemic inflammation as evaluated by serum laboratory data, and carpal osteolysis. Although PG rarely damages joints, the ulcer extended to the joint and destroyed the osteochondral tissues.
