Drug-induced ulcers of the oesophagus represent a rare but probably under-recorded complication. In a series of 5900 endoscopies performed in 32 months, oesophageal ulcers were seen in 4 cases following the intake of doxycycline, and in one case after ingestion of pinaverium bromide and a bulk laxative respectively. The present work describes a quantitative thin layer procedure for estimating primidone, clorazepate dipotassium and chlorzoxazone in bulk powders and in dosage forms, each in the presence of its degradation product. The method consists of dissolving the drug in ethanol (for primidone), or methanol (for clorazepate dipotassium and chlorzoxazone) and then spotting this solution on a thin layer of silica gel G254. Quantitation is achieved by comparing the areas under the peaks obtained from scanning the thin layer chromatographic plates in a spectrodensitometer.

In this study, g-C3N4/methotrexate (g-C3N4/MTX) nanohybrids were obtained via a self assembly method. XRD and TEM demonstrated that bulk g-C3N4 had been stripped into thin nanosheets with size range of 150-250 nm.
