Ocular tuberculosis can manifest in a wide variety of clinical presentations. The prevalence is higher in endemic areas as a cause of granulomatous uveitis. The IRIS mitral annuloplasty ring is a transcatheter, transfemoral and transseptal-delivered complete, semi-rigid annuloplasty ring. The IRIS system mimics surgical annuloplasty by reducing the mitral septal-lateral dimension and improving leaflet coaptation. We report the early experience with the IRIS system in seven patients. These patients had 3-4+ mitral regurgitation (MR) with annular dilation and were symptomatic NYHA II-IV with LV end systolic dimensions ≤65 mm. METHODS: BAIT syndrome is a new clinical condition characterised by severe transillumination of the iris, acute onset of pigment dispersion in the anterior chamber, and a medial mydriatic pupil that is unresponsive or poorly responsive to light, due to a sphincter paralysis. BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: To evaluate ruthenium-106 (Ru106) brachytherapy as eye-conserving treatment of iris melanomas (IMs) and iridociliary melanomas (ICMs).
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Eighty-eight patients received Ru106 brachytherapy between 2006 and 2016. Primary outcome was local control, and secondary outcomes were metastasis, survival, eye preservation, complications and visual acuity (VA).

BACKGROUND/AIMS: A retrospective service evaluation to report on recurrence of iris melanoma after proton beam therapy (PBT).
METHODS: The cohort comprised 150 consecutive eyes with iris melanoma treated with proton beam radiotherapy. Treatment consisted of 53.1 Gy of proton beam irradiation delivered in four fractions over four consecutive days. Main outcome measures were local tumour control and tumour-related mortality.

A 61-year-old African American man presented with decreased vision of 2 months duration. Examination revealed a significant lenticular astigmatism and sectoral cataract as a result of an amelanotic iris lesion. Slitlamp optical coherence tomography (OCT) revealed angle crowding. An excisional biopsy was performed along with phacoemulsification in the right eye, with intraocular lens implantation for meridional lenticular astigmatism. Congenital ectropion uveae (CEU) is a rare, non progressive anomaly characterised by the presence of iris pigment epithelium on the anterior surface and is frequently associated with anterior iris insertion, dysgenesis of the drainage angle and glaucoma. This paper describes an unusual case of bilateral congenital ectropion uveae with iris coloboma and telecanthus. The anterior chamber angle was normal and there was no evidence of glaucoma. To the best of our knowledge, this association has not been reported previously.
