Mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by a combination of clinical features from systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, and inflammatory muscle disease, along with the presence of positive anti-U1-ribonucleoprotein (U1-RNP) antibodies. The exact etiology of the disease remains unclear, but it is believed to involve vascular damage within the context of heightened autoimmune responses. PURPOSE: Primary thyroid marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue type (pTY-MZL) is an extremely uncommon form of lymphoma. Due to its rarity, the natural history and optimal treatment modality for this disease have yet to be clearly established.

OBJECTIVES: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most lethal solid tumours. Alterations in Hippo, NF-κB and interferon (IFN)-related signalling have each been implicated in its biology, but the extent to which these transcriptional programmes are coordinately dysregulated in tumour tissue remains incompletely defined. METHODS: Based on the results of a previously published phase II study, we associated the (99m)Technetium-labelled liposomal doxorubicin ((99m)Tc-LD) uptake value (75 % cut-off) with the response rate, progression-free survival and overall survival of patients treated with a combination of liposomal doxorubicin and cisplatin.
