A new synthesized ternary polymer composite, polystyrene/polyacrylonitrile/polyindole (PSt/PAN/PIN), was used as an adsorbent. The structure of synthesized composite was supported by FTIR, BET, X-RD, TGA, SEM and AFM technique. The cellular trafficking pathways that conduct zinc to its sites of binding in functional proteins remain largely unspecified. In this study, the hypothesis was investigated that nonspecific proteomic binding sites serve as intermediates in zinc trafficking. A novel approach to the generation of volatile iron compounds (likely the pentacarbonyl) with high efficiency is described, wherein solutions containing either Fe(2+) or Fe(3+) and low molecular weight organic acids such as formic, acetic or propionic are exposed to a UV source.
