Leydig cell tumors are rare and represent 1% to 3% of all tumors of the testis. Diffuse idiopathic pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia is an extremely rare pulmonary lesion, with only 39 cases reported in the literature. We report an additional case and review the literature. The patient is a 41-year-old man with a 5-year history of progressive dyspnea, cough, and wheezing. Crossed hemifacial hyperplasia is a rare condition producing facial asymmetry and overgrowth of the extremities of the opposite side. Very few cases are reported in literature. A case of an 11-year-old female is presented here to supplement existing clinical knowledge with many of the reported clinical and orofacial findings. Emphasis is placed on diagnosis of the condition by thoughtful elimination and the necessity of a multi-disciplinary approach to its management.

OBJECTIVE: Although there is a well-recognized association between thymic hyperplasia and benign thyroid disorders, the prevalence of thymic hyperplasia in patients with malignant thyroid diseases has not been previously reported. We performed this study to determine the prevalence and morphologic features of thymic hyperplasia on CT scans of thyroid cancer patients.

INTRODUCTION: Leydig cell hyperplasia (LCH) of the testis is rarely described in children. The authors report a case of incidental discovery of LCH on ultrasound examination.
CASE REPORT: The authors report the case of a 9-year-old boy presenting with isolated and painless increased volume of the left testis, with no clinically palpable mass. Scrotal ultrasound revealed an echogenic mass, 12 mm in diameter, with a solid appearance and several hypoechoic areas, without calcification, situated in the lower pole of the testis. Tumour markers and gonadotropin axis hormonal assessment were normal.

Severe hyperkalaemia in patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia in association with aggravating factors such as acidosis and hypocalcaemia can cause life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias. Treatment of the underlying cause may be the only modality required in such cases. We report a 20-day-old male presenting with ventricular tachycardia due to electrolyte abnormalities in salt-losing congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Sudden cardiac deaths reported earlier in such cases thus gain credence.
