The diaphragm is a physical barrier separating the thoracic and abdominal cavities. Its physiological function is fundamental to pulmonary ventilation. Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a malformation that leaves a hole in the diaphragm during fetal development. Although there is ample evidence that the chemotherapeutic drugs trigger an immune response, the efficient tumor rejection or regression is not guaranteed probably due to the massive immunosuppression within the tumor microenvironment. We describe a technique for estimating the mass of anti-DNA antibodies by immunonephelometry of serum immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA, IgM) before and after adsorption onto DNA bound to agarose-polylysine columns.
