BACKGROUND: Leukosan SkinLink (LS), which combines non-woven textile strips and tissue adhesive, offers the advantage of atraumatic treatment while effectively shortening the procedure time. We hypothesized that wound closure would be faster with LS than with surgical suture (SS) and the wound infection and dehiscence would be similar.
METHODS: A prospective, open label, single-center, randomized controlled trial was performed. Between November 2014 and April 2016, 49 patients with traumatic lacerations who presented to the emergency department were eligible for study inclusion.

BACKGROUND: The standard of care for treatment of low-flow venous malformations (VMs) is percutaneous sclerotherapy. These lesions are seldom surgically resected, especially if the malformation is in an anatomically difficult location. Percutaneous sclerotherapy is safe and effective. However, the drawbacks to sclerotherapy are the need for repeated treatments and risks of skin ulceration, deep venous thrombosis, scarring/contractures, and nerve damage. Surgical resection can be difficult because of intraoperative bleeding, intraoperative lesional decompression, and difficulty in localization.

Between December 1998 and July 2006, seven patients with enterostomies, portal hypertension, and recurrent stomal variceal bleeding resistant to medical treatment were treated at a single institution. BACKGROUND: Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) of the mandible are relatively rare and potentially life-threatening lesions. Treatment is usually difficult. This study presents a case with high-flow AVM of the mandible in which most of the AVM were occluded by transvenous coil embolization.
