Artificial intelligence (AI) tools are entering clinical practice at unprecedented speed. 1,357 AI/ML-enabled medical devices have received U.S. FDA clearance or approval, yet their impact on patient outcomes remains largely untested. We conducted a systematic analysis of all FDA-cleared AI/ML-enabled medical devices through December 5, 2025 using the FDA device database and the ACR Data Science Institute catalogue, with linked searches of ClinicalTrials.gov and PubMed to identify registered trials and publications. Of 1,357 cleared AI devices, only 34 (2.5%) were linked to registered prospect

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: While there has been rapid progress in research aimed at developing device-based neuromodulation therapies for blood pressure (BP) disorders, there is a paucity of FDA-approved therapies. Currently, the only approved devices for treating resistant hypertension use renal denervation, however, this could soon change as clinical research progresses. With the evolution of interventional strategies for BP regulation, it is important to comprehend the developments to date in order to gauge directions for future research. The objective of this scoping review was to provide

INTRODUCTION: Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) improves the outcomes of patients with chronic heart disease. However, participation in hospital-based programs is limited, partly because of accessibility issues. Notably, most CRs are performed unsupervised at home, making it challenging for healthcare providers and patients to monitor progress accurately or provide tailored feedback. Wearable devices are increasingly used to track physical activity; however, many require smartphone operations, which can be difficult for older adults. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether a simple telemetr

BACKGROUND: Although outcomes data on transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and transcatheter mitral valve repair (Mitraclip) are available via the Transcatheter Valve Therapy (TVT) registry, dissemination of TVT data is often delayed. The Food and Drug Administration's Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience (MAUDE) system collects postmarket outcomes data in public medical device reports. We used natural language processing to compare the event rates for TAVR and Mitraclip in the TVT registry and from MAUDE data.
METHODS: We identified all medical device reports related to

Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) transformed the therapy for aortic aneurysms and introduced an era of widespread use for endovascular procedures in a variety of vascular beds. Although dramatic improvements in acute outcomes drove the early enthusiasm for EVAR, a realization that the long-term integrity of the endoprostheses used for EVAR were sometimes inferior to the results obtained with open surgical reconstruction dampened enthusiasm for their use in low-risk and younger patients who mandated long-term follow-up. While early EVAR failure modes are often related to technical aspects of

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is a commonly used neurosurgical form of therapeutic brain stimulation that has been demonstrated to be safe, well tolerated, and effective for the treatment of essential tremor, Parkinson's disease, and primary dystonia. These particular uses have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Investigational studies using DBS have been conducted for refractory epilepsy, obesity, chronic pain, tardive dyskinesia, Tourette syndrome, and other movement disorders, but none of these studies has led to FDA approval for these indications. Although the use

Bioresorbable vascular scaffolds (BVS) have emerged as an interesting alternative since the presence of the prosthesis in the coronary artery is transient. This technology enables to restore the normal vasomotor tone and allows positive remodeling, simultaneously reducing the trigger for persistent inflammation and facilitating further interventions by percutaneous or surgical means. Absorb BVS(®) is the first generation everolimus-eluting poly-L-lactide (PLLA) bioresorbable scaffold. In recent meta-analyses Absorb BVS(®) was definitely proved to be safe and effective device in the treatment o

In the absence of evidence regarding the diagnosis and management of LAGC-AIM caused by textured breast implants, this article aims to provide recommendations based, on the one hand, on updated data from the literature, and on the other hand, on the experience gained in the management and treatment of patients within the French LAGC-AIM study group. A search was carried out in the MEDLINE and Cochrane databases, supplemented by manual searches for relevant articles in English. Studies on breast surgery and breast implant-associated lymphoma were included. The most convincing articles were inte
