Meningiomas are common intracranial and intraspinal tumors and constitute 15-20% of all primary brain tumors. Ten to 15% of all meningiomas are considered malignant. The patient was 63-year-old male. Abdominal CT revealed a tumor at S2/S3, which led to a diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma, in April 1998. On April 15, 1998 transcathetereal arterial embolization was performed and on May 11, 1998 percutaneous ethanol injection therapy was given, but a viable lesion remained. On July 2, 1998, partial resection of S2/S3 was performed. There was an intrahepapic metastatic lesion at Glisson's site of the main tumor, which was suspected of implantation. In December 2000, the patient had a high AFP level, and a recurrent tumor was observed at S3 on abdominal CT.

A case report is presented of intra-mural gallbladder carcinoma discovered incidentally after laparoscopic cholecystectomy who subsequently developed abdominal wall recurrence at the epigastric exit port, and axillary lymph node metastases. Possible preventative steps for tumour dissemination and a management plan if incidental carcinoma is diagnosed is discussed. The use of a non-porous retrieval bag, early recognition of the carcinoma and excision of the exit wound are advocated.

We report a case of a 65-year-old woman who nine years previously had undergone total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingoophorectomy for a large ovarian cyst. During surgery the cyst had ruptured and some mucinous material had been spilled intraabdominally. A retrospective analysis of 55 patients treated with whole abdominal irradiation following surgical excision for cancer of the colon is presented. Three groups of patients were given whole abdominal irradiation, eight with gross residual tumor following surgery, 17 with peritoneal seeding, and 30 who had complete surgical excision of the tumor but were felt to be at high risk for relapse.
