UNLABELLED: The management of bleeding gastric varices has not been standardized. Embolization of the internal maxillary artery is an accepted method for control of severe or recurrent posterior epistaxis. Such endovascular treatment may fail if the vascular supply to the bleeding vessels originates in branches of the ophthalmic artery. We report one case in which embolization of the ophthalmic artery was performed to control epistaxis. Distal catheterisation at least beyond the second portion enables safe embolization.

An hypervascular and lytic thoracic (Th10) vertebral metastasis from kidney neoplasm causing cord compression was successfully resected after embolization. PURPOSE: To investigate the safety and efficacy of microballoon-occluded transcatheter embolization using n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (NBCA) in patients with a single pulmonary arteriovenous malformation (PAVM).
METHODS: From November 2017 to November 2020, this retrospective study included 38 previously untreated patients with a single PAVM who underwent microballoon-occluded transcatheter embolization using NBCA. All 38 patients had follow-up that included simple chest radiography and contrast-enhanced chest computed tomography (CT).

INTRODUCTION: In a single centre evaluation of a novel hernia repair device, 200 consecutive patients underwent 247 laparoscopic (TAPP) groin hernia repairs (47 bilateral) using n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (Liquiband®Fix8™) for mesh fixation and peritoneal closure over a 2-year period by a single experienced laparoscopic surgeon.

In patients with cirrhosis and enterostomy, although bleeding stomal varices are rare, they can been severe and difficult to be treat. PURPOSE: To report the efficacy of rectal artery embolization (RAE) for the treatment of rectal bleeding and the prognostic factors related to recurrent bleeding.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 34 patients in a single center who underwent RAE for treatment of rectal bleeding between September 1998 and December 2018 were retrospectively reviewed. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of transarterial embolization (TAE) in the management of hematuria secondary to congenital renal arteriovenous malformations (AVM).
