Results of experiments conducted in dogs are reported, in which the first few centimetres of the ureter were replaced by a prosthesis in silicone elastomer, the upper extremity being intubated by a trans-renal approach into the lower calyx and the upper extremity into the iliolumbar ureter. The aetiology of the paranephric abscess has been greatly modified since the introductiion of antibiotics. Its frequency has decreased but its prognosis has not been improved. 20 cases of paranephric abscess have been studied retrospectively. Herein we report two cases of infections caused by Tissierella praeacuta and a review of the literature. The first case was a septic pseudarthrosis of the left femur after multiple fractures. Two per-operative samples were positive with T. praeacuta. The patient was successfully treated by piperacillin - tazobactam and metronidazole. Most cases of urolithiasis in pregnancy are managed conservatively either with ureteric stents or percutaneous nephrostomy tubes, which need to be changed at regular intervals. Twenty-five patients who had undergone renal transplants developed uncommon complications that were detected and followed serially with sonography. Two patients developed renal calculi, which produced hydronephrosis in both instances. Urinary stones is a frequent disease whose renal complications can engage both functional and vital prognosis. We report 769 complicated cases observed 10 years. The diagnosis was made by intravenous urography and ultrasonography. 607 cases were mechanical complications, 582 hydronephrosis, 25 anuria, 262 were infectious complications, 82 chronic pyelonephritis, 60 pyonephrosis, 10 perinephric abscess. AIM: The aim of this paper was to evaluate feasibility of retroperitoneoscopic nephrectomy in a patient with nephrocolonic fistula due to tuberculosis.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: A 20-year-old female had presented with high-grade fever. Percutaneous drainage of the kidney for pyonephrosis was performed as an initial drainage procedure. Retrograde pyelography revealed a nephrocolonic fistula. Retroperitoneoscopic nephrectomy with intracorporeal suturing of the defect in the colon was performed.

The diseases ectopic kidney is a rare malformation. It can be associated with other urological or nonurological malformation. We report 11 cases observed between 1980 and 1998. They were five females and six males with a mean age of 28 years. The clinical symptomatology was dominated by pain and urinary symptoms. Diagnosis was based on the IVP data and ultrasonography. The diagnosis of tuberculosis of renal and urinary tract is made by identifying Koch bacillus in special cultures and using histological examination of surgical removed pieces.
