Results of 1831 laparoscopic cholecystectomies (LCE) are analyzed. Symptoms of obstructive jaundice were at 170 (9.3%) patients. All these patients underwent endoscopic papillosphincterotomy before LCE for removal of bile hypertension. Conversion to open surgery was necessary in 44 (2.4%) cases. Intraoperative injuries of extrahepatic bile ducts occurred at 5 (0.27%), bleeding--at 10 (0.6%) patients. Salmonella infection in children caused by polyresistant S. typhimurium strains is characterized by a highly severe course with possible complications. In the treatment of young children with salmonellosis the use of the locally manufactured biologically active additive Bektit-M, possessing adsorption capacity, is recommended. The use of this preparation in complex treatment has made it possible to establish its clinical effect and positive influence on the biochemical characteristics of the blood.

The data on the use of rabies antitoxin obtained by the method ensuring the isolation of active immunoglobulin fractions are presented. The trial was carried out in the Kazakh SSR and the Uzbek SSR. The preparation was injected to subjects bitten by animals, in doses of 5 to 40 ml, depending on the localization of bites, the character of lesions and the age of victims. Antitoxin " Prosdis -4" was found to possess low reactogenicaty . During the term of observation (1 year) no cases of rabies were registered among the immunized victims.

Clinical manifestations and diagnostic methods of particular anatomical variants of intestinal rotation and fixation disorders were discussed by the authors in 208 children of different age groups.
