One is also obligated to rule out the other causes of clumsiness, rotational deformities, neurologic problems, or muscle diseases. And finally, one should not label the normal child who may not be a great athlete as clumsy or refer the child for unnecessary therapy or treatment.

In reviewing 73 cases occurring during a 10-year-period in Sweden, young boys and elderly women seemed to be most prone to this type of fatality. Between 1984 and 1990, 75 koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus) from the central northern coast of New South Wales (Australia) were presented for necropsy due to motor vehicle accidents. A 24-year-old man attended the emergency department with a penetrating injury to the right globe after a road traffic accident. He later contracted tetanus for which he was given human tetanus immunoglobulin. The authors present four cases of infection due to Anisakis in an area where people are prone to infectious diseases transmitted by raw fish, but in which the presence of this parasite has never been reported. Three of four cases were discovered accidently during surgical procedures for co-existing abdominal pathologies. Raw fish was apparently not involved in all patients.
