A 61-year-old man presented with acute painless optic neuropathy with resultant no light perception in his left eye. Neuro-ophthalmological examination, optical coherence tomography and fluorescein angiography did not reveal the etiology. Since the patient had a cardiac pacemaker, he underwent a CT scan with contrast of the brain and orbits, which was normal. Five months later, the patient presented with visual field loss in his right eye. Here we describe a rare case of nasal glioma in a 14 year old boy who presented with history of right nasal obstruction and nasal discharge since 6 months. On examination a pale mass was seen filling the right nasal cavity and extending down in the oropharynx. Clinical impression was antrochoanal polyp. Excision of the mass was carried out and sent for histopathology which showed presence of glial tissue and the diagnosis was made as nasal glioma.

In a family with four children, an intracranial neoplasm developed in three of the siblings at or before the age of 12 years. Two of the tumors were hitologically verified gliomas and the third was diagnosed on ventriculography but did not have microscopic confirmation.
