PURPOSE: To report a case of giant cell reparative granuloma occurring in the orbit and to discuss its clinical, radiologic, and histopathologic characteristics in contrast with other similar lesions.
METHODS: A 38-year-old man developed pain and mild proptosis of the left eye. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated an intraosseous cystic orbital mass. Excisional biopsy disclosed giant cell reparative granuloma of the orbit.
RESULT: At 11 months' follow-up, the patient had normal vision, with no tumor recurrence.
CONCLUSION: Giant cell reparative granuloma of the or

A case of recurrent giant cell reparative granuloma of the hand is reported. The radiographs showed a lytic, expansile lesion that extended from the secondary ossification center proximally to the articular surface distally. Treatment consisted of excision of the involved proximal phalanx and interposition bone graft. The histopathologic findings were typical for this benign, nonneoplastic process: a cellular fibrous stroma with many giant cells. The differentiation of giant cell reparative granuloma from giant cell tumor, aneurysmal bone cyst, and brown tumor of hyperparathyroidism is reviewe

Central giant cell granuloma (CGCG) is a bone lesion characterized by fibrous tissue containing areas of bleeding, giant cells with multiple nuclei, and trabeculae of woven bone. It is considered to be a local bone repair response, possibly triggered by inflammation, bleeding, or local injury. CGCG is more prevalent in females and can occur across a wide age range, typically diagnosed at a young age. Mandibular involvement is more common than maxillary involvement, with most lesions in the posterior region often extending into the ascending ramus. Management of aggressive CGCG can involve non-

Central giant cell granuloma (CGCG) is an uncommon, benign, proliferative intraosseous lesion of the jaws with an uncertain etiology. It is more frequently reported in the mandible, whereas maxillary involvement is relatively rare. We present the case of a 30-year-old female patient with a swelling in the right posterior maxilla that had gradually increased in size over a year. Clinical examination revealed a firm, tender, and expansile lesion, while radiographic evaluation demonstrated a well-defined radiolucent lesion associated with the maxillary posterior teeth. Histopathological analysis

Giant cell reparative granuloma has a very low incidence and is thought to be a response to trauma. While there have been only a few reported cases of orbital giant cell reparative granuloma, we recently observed such a case and analyzed 16 previously reported cases of this type. It is important to note that further investigation is necessary to fully understand the relationship between giant cell reparative granuloma and trauma.

Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PRZG) is a locally reactive, non-neoplastic oral tissue proliferation. Histologically, the peripheral form is indistinguishable from the rarer central form of RCC in the jaw area. PRZG usually occur on the gingiva, but are occasionally also found on the palate and the alveolar ridge of the edentulous jaw, very rarely also in the peri-implant tissue.

Annular elastolytic giant cell granuloma (AEGCG) is a rare granulomatous skin disease of undetermined cause, characterized by annular plaques with raised erythematous borders in sun-exposed skin. The typical histologic features are dermal infiltration by multinucleated giant cells, elastin degeneration, and elastophagocytosis. The authors describe a clinical case of AEGCG, which exhibited an excellent response to hydroxycloroquine.

Central giant cell granuloma is a benign, aggressive neoplasm composed of multinucleated giant cells that almost exclusively occurs in the jaws though extra- gnathic incidence is rare. Multifocal CGCGs of the jaws are very rare and suggestive of systemic diseases such as hyperparathyroidism, an inherited syndrome such as Noonan- like multiple giant cell lesion syndrome or other disorders.Very few cases of multifocal CGCGs in the jaws without any concomitant systemic disease have been reported. This paper describes an unusual case reported to the Oral Surgery Department of Dr. D.Y.Patil Dental

INTRODUCTION: Giant cell granuloma (GCG) is a non-neoplastic osseous proliferative lesion of unknown etiology. Although a benign disease process, GCG can be locally destructive. It is extremely rare to have a pediatric case of GCG occurring in the nasal cavity with intracranial invasion.
PRESENTATION OF CASE: We report a case of an aggressive and recurrent giant cell granuloma with intracranial invasion in a 10 years old female patient which was completely excised with endoscopic craniofacial resection.
DISCUSSION: A literature review on pathogenesis, diagnosis and management is also perform

We report a case of Noonan syndrome associated with central giant cell granuloma. The patient was a 10 1/2-year-old boy with the chief complaint of proptosis of the right eye. He also had various malformations such as short stature, webbed neck, pectus excavatum, cubitus valgus, pulmonary valve stenosis and patent foramen ovale, a characteristic face appearance and cryptorchidism and so on. Chromosome analysis showed a 46,XY karyotype. A computed tomographic scan and magnetic resonance imaging showed a mass originated from the lateral wall of the right maxillary sinus. The patient underwent Ca

This article represents the fourth and fifth reported cases of GCRG that involve the ethmoid sinus. The problems encountered in establishing the diagnosis are emphasized, as are the features that differentiate it from the giant cell tumor, aneurysmal bone cyst, and hyperparathyroidism, the conditions with which it is most commonly confused. The unusually aggressive behavior, as demonstrated by these two cases, is highlighted.

Central giant cell granuloma (CGCG) is an uncommon benign intraosseous lesion of the jaws that typically affects the anterior mandible in young females. Aggressive variants may demonstrate rapid growth, cortical expansion, pain, root resorption, and recurrence. This report presents an unusual case of aggressive CGCG involving the posterior maxilla in a 20-year-old female patient who presented with progressive swelling and facial asymmetry. Radiographic evaluation revealed a well-defined expansile lytic lesion involving the right maxilla and maxillary sinus. Differential diagnoses included aden

Annular elastolytic giant cell granuloma (AEGCG) is a benign skin disorder, with, unknown cause. It appears as erythematous papules or annular plaques. Few challenging cases of AEGCG have been reported in the literature. We describe a rare clinical presentation of AEGCG mimicking cutaneous sarcoidosis.

Elastolytic giant cell granuloma (EGCG), also known as actinic granuloma, is an uncommon granulomatous dermatosis usually characterised by asymptomatic annular plaques on sun-exposed skin. Its aetiology is not fully elucidated, but actinic damage has been considered the main causal factor. Atypical variants with lesions in a non-photodistributed pattern are rare and often related to a systemic disorder, suggesting a more complex pathogenesis and demanding for a screening work-up. Herein, we report a case of an adult obese, diabetic woman presenting with a generalised pruritic papular eruption,

BACKGROUND: Annular elastolytic giant cell granuloma (AEGCG), a rare entity first described in 1979, is very similar to O'Brien actinic granuloma (AG), first described in 1975. Since then, many cases have been published under one or other of the two names. We performed a single-centre histopathology study to identify the distinguishing features and determine whether there was any objective difference between AEGCG and AG.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Cases classed as AEGCG or AG at the dermatopathology laboratory in Strasbourg were included and analysed using haematoxylin-eosin, orcein and Alcian bl

A 53-year-old woman presented with a six-month history of non-pruritic, erythematous papules and papular-plaques that were localized to the anterior and lateral aspects of the neck. A biopsy specimen showed elastolysis and granuloma formation, which were consistent with a diagnosis of annular elastolytic giant-cell granuloma. This is one of the few reported cases of this entity that consists predominantly of papular lesions rather than annular plaques.
