We report two cases of eccrine porocarcinoma (EPC), one of intrepidermal EPC (IEEPC) and one of intradermal invasive EPC (IDEPC) in an immunohistochemical study of cytokeratins (CK) using nine different anti-keratin antibodies against CK1, 7, 8, 10, 14, 16, 17, 18 and 19. To clarify structural changes in the gastric foveolar epithelium in Helicobacter pylori (Hp)-positive gastritis, the expression rates of keratins 8, 18, 19, and 20 were assessed immunohistochemically in normal tissue and chronic gastritis. BACKGROUND/AIMS: Hepatocyte "ballooning" is an often used but ill defined term in liver pathology to designate a special form of liver cell degeneration associated with cell swelling and enlargement found particularly in steatohepatitis. Immunohistochemistry for keratins 5, 8, 14, and 18 was performed on Japanese Black calf thymuses at various stages of acute thymic involution.
