A 33-year-old man presented with lymphoedema and obstructive nephropathy and was first diagnosed as retroperitoneal fibrosis (RF) with consistent clinical picture and radiographic findings. Further CT-guided biopsy was performed and non-Hodgkin lymphoma was diagnosed based on pathological results. RF is usually diagnosed through clinical presentation and imaging studies. However, our case proved that biopsy should be considered to exclude malignancy, even with typical presentations of RF. Follow-up after six courses of R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, vindesine, epirubicin and prednisone)

Primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the larynx is rare, accounting for less than 1% of all laryngeal neoplasms. Fewer than 100 cases have been reported in the literature. This case describes a 76-year-old woman with primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the larynx. To our knowledge, this is the first case of primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the larynx reported in the Danish literature.

Within a seven year period, 1597 newly diagnosed cases of non-Hodgkins lymphoma (NHL) were included in a Danish population-based NHL-register. Non-Hodgkin's lymphomas of the testis comprise 25-50% of testicular tumors in men over 50 years of age. Using the Rappaport histologic terminology, most testicular lymphomas are of the diffuse histiocytic type. Concomitant involvement of Waldeyer's ring or of paranasal sinuses frequently occurs. Eight patients with primary non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the testis and 2 patients with a lymphoma which arose in the paranasal sinuses and later involved the testis are reported. Cell surface markers are becoming increasingly important in the diagnosis of malignant lymphoid diseases. We present a case of pulmonary histoplasmosis with a pleural effusion. The differential diagnosis included non-Hodgkin lymphoma because the pleural fluid cells were cytologically identical to convoluted lymphoblasts; the cells also formed rosettes with sheep erythrocytes at 37 degrees C, suggesting that they were malignant thymus-derived lymphoblasts. Non-Hodgkin's lymphomas form a heterogeneous group of tumors whose incidence is rising in elderly subjects. While most cases are accessible to treatment with chemotherapy, elderly patients tolerate treatments less well than younger ones. Nevertheless, treatment efficacy does not seem different. Two approaches can thus be proposed: the first is to give the patient a conventional treatment with a higher risk of toxicity, the second one would be to propose a "lighter", dose-adapted treatment. Two examples are examined more closely: diffuse large B-cell lymphomas and follicular lymphomas.

The purpose is to report an unusual case of orbital non-Hodgkin lymphoma. A 75-year-old man presented with bilateral chronic epiphora complaint and inferior eyelid tumors, axial proptosis, without previous systemic manifestation.
