A male, neutered cat was presented for lethargy, reluctance to walk, and mammary enlargement after recent treatment with megestrol acetate. A 56 year old women was treated with megestrol acetate (Megace) 40 mg p.o. q.i.d. for her cerebellar metastasis of primary adenocarcinoma of the breast. She had previously undergone two surgical resections of her brain metastasis, and a course of radiotherapy. OBJECTIVE: The most effective treatment of well-differentiated endometrial carcinoma is surgery. The aim of this study is the evaluation of megestrol acetate on young patients with well-differentiated endometrial cancer who wish to preserve their fertility, with regard to the receptors.

In a prospective clinical trial lasting one year, 35 postmenopausal women with severe climacteric symptoms were cyclically treated with conjugated oestrogens (1.25 mg daily).
