A Research-Practice Partnership to Scale Positive Behavior Support: Data-Based Decision-Making to Inform the Assessment of Implementation Fidelity.

Research-practice partnerships (RPPs) can play a key role in the implementation and scale up of school-based preventive interventions and programs. An RPP, referred to as PBIS Maryland, has been collaborating on the implementation of Schoolwide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SW-PBIS) in Maryland public schools for over 20 years. A fidelity data system was created to track implementation statewide and inform scale-up. Over time, the partners adjusted the fidelity measurement approach to meet various priorities and emerging needs. The current study serves as a case example of ho

Implementation of a complex eHealth intervention by a public-private partnership in clinical practice: a qualitative multicentre analysis using CFIR.

Complex eHealth interventions-featuring multiple components within dynamic systems-are used for healthcare improvement. Public-private partnerships (PPPs), combining resources, expertise, and technology, are crucial in this context. Yet, integrating these interventions into practice remains challenging. This study identifies barriers and facilitators affecting implementation of the BENEFIT programme, a complex eHealth intervention targeting cardiovascular disease patients, by PPP within practice. A qualitative study design was employed. Ten key stakeholders from four cardiac rehabilitation (CR

Academic-practice partnerships in public health workforce development in China: a comparative analysis of 12 purposively selected cases.

BACKGROUND: Academic-practice partnerships (APPs) are increasingly used in public health workforce development, but evidence on their institutional drivers and varied development pathways in China remains limited. This study examines how institutional pressures, interorganizational resource relationships, and boundary-spanning practices are reflected in the development of APPs in China. METHODS: An exploratory multiple-case comparative design was adopted. Twelve APP cases were purposively selected across Chinese regions with diverse resource endowments. Drawing on institutional isomorphism, R

Practice-Based Research Network Partnership with CDC to acquire clinical specimens to study the etiology of southern tick-associated rash illness (STARI).

INTRODUCTION: Erythema migrans (EM) is an annular, erythematous, expanding rash that is characteristic of early Lyme disease. In the southern United States, however, many cases of EM seem to have an etiology different from that of Lyme disease. This little-understood condition is called Southern tick-associated rash illness. METHODS: With the goal of obtaining biological specimens and clinical histories from 12 to 20 STARI patients for use in etiologic research, microbiologists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contacted the North Carolina Network Consortium, a statewide con

National priority setting partnership using a Delphi consensus process to develop neonatal research questions suitable for practice-changing randomised trials in the UK.

BACKGROUND: The provision of neonatal care is variable and commonly lacks adequate evidence base; strategic development of methodologically robust clinical trials is needed to improve outcomes and maximise research resources. Historically, neonatal research topics have been selected by researchers; prioritisation processes involving wider stakeholder groups have generally identified research themes rather than specific questions amenable to interventional trials. OBJECTIVE: To involve stakeholders including parents, healthcare professionals and researchers to identify and prioritise research

Identifying the most important research, policy and practice questions for substance use, problematic alcohol use and behavioural addictions in autism (SABA-A): A priority setting partnership.

BACKGROUND: Autistic people are more likely to report problematic alcohol and other substance use when compared to the general population. Evidence suggests that up to one in three autistic adults may have an alcohol or other substance use disorder (AUD/SUD), although the evidence base for behavioural addictions is less clear. Autistic people may use substances or engage in potentially addictive behaviours as a means of coping with social anxiety, challenging life problems, or camouflaging in social contexts. Despite the prevalence and detrimental effects of AUD, SUD and behavioural addictions

A lifecycle governance and learning health system framework for trustworthy, generalizable, and sustainable human-ai partnership in clinical practice: Lessons from the asthma-guidance and prediction system (A-GPS).

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into clinical decision support (CDS) holds promise for proactive, personalized, and precision care. However, current understanding of how to establish trustworthy human-AI partnerships is in its infancy, despite its critical importance for implementing AI in healthcare. We present the Asthma-Guidance and Prediction System (A-GPS) as a case study of a practice-integrated AI platform that demonstrates how trustworthy, generalizable and sustainable AI can be developed, evaluated, and implemented in real-world asthma care. We describe major challenge

Improving screening, treatment, and intervention for unhealthy alcohol use in primary care through clinic, practice-based research network, and health plan partnerships: Protocol of the ANTECEDENT study.

BACKGROUND: Unhealthy alcohol use (UAU) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the United States, contributing to 95,000 deaths annually. When offered in primary care, screening, brief intervention, referral to treatment (SBIRT), and medication-assisted treatment for alcohol use disorder (MAUD) can effectively address UAU. However, these interventions are not yet routine in primary care clinics. Therefore, our study evaluates tailored implementation support to increase SBIRT and MAUD in primary care. METHODS: ANTECEDENT is a pragmatic implementation study designed to support 150 pri
