A study of the original painting layer of the "Pietà" of Barletta, a polychrome statue, important example of Renaissance Apulian sculpture, was performed by mu-Raman spectroscopy. Vermilion was identified in the original layer of the blood drops on Jesus knee. Lazurite was identified as the original blue pigment on Our Lady's veil and lace, currently a yellow ochre-like color. PURPOSE: Bifid scrotum is usually associated with scrotal and perineal hypospadias. Conventional surgical repair involves rotation of two scrotal flaps, joining them in the midline, and vertical skin closure. Dimpling of skin can occur, resulting in suboptimal aesthetic results. We describe a technique whereby the bifid scrotum is rebuilt and contoured using single or multiple Z-plasties.

These reactions include nail fold, fingertip and hand dermatitis, face and neck dermatitis, dystrophic nail changes and paraesthesia. The use of a fiber optic cable in contact with tissue results in a complex thermal interaction between the cable and the tissue. The effect of the laser-tissue interaction was investigated using sculptured quartz fiber optic cables, sapphire contact rods, and bare fiber optic cables attached to the Nd:YAG laser. Sodium thiosulphate (Na2S2O3) solution was used to etch silver nanoparticles (NPs) and transform them from triangular nanoprisms to hexagonal nanoplates.
