Longitudinal study of forming of the posture was performed in 138 healthy pupils of Moscow school No. 710 aged from 6.5 to 14 of both sexes. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS: Among 109,172 women in the Nurses' Health Study II, body fatness at ages 5, 10, and 20 years was assessed by recall using 9-level pictorial diagrams (somatotypes) representing extreme thinness (category 1) to obesity (category 9). Recalled weights at age 18 years and adulthood were used to derive BMI. Self-reported cases of type 2 diabetes were confirmed by supplementary questionnaire.

Men affected with unilateral and bilateral undescended testicles have been examined 10 to 20 years after orchidopexy. The examined patients were divided into groups of individuals operated before and after the 8th year of life. Different body build has been observed in hypermobile women with coxarthrosis as compared with other hypermobile individuals. The study summarizes results of somatometric measurements in 38 hypermobile women with coxarthrosis based on congenital dislocation of the hip (CDH) and the same number of hypermobile controls. BACKGROUND: High mammographic density (MD) is a strong risk factor for breast cancer. However, it is unclear whether high MD is an intermediate phenotype or whether breast cancer risk factors influence breast cancer risk and MD independently.
