A series of trifluoromethyl-substituted 1,2,4-triazole Mannich base 6 and bis(1,2,4-triazole) Mannich base 7 containing pyrimidinylpiperazine rings via the Mannich reaction were synthesized and characterized by infrared (IR), (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and elemental analysis. A series of novel carboxamide compounds 19a-19j, 20a-20j and 22a-22d containing piperazine and arylsulfonyl moieties have been synthesized. BACKGROUND: Methyl-thiophanate (MT), a fungicide largely used in agriculture throughout the world including Tunisia, protects many vegetables, fruits and field crops against a wide spectrum of fungal diseases. Oxidative stress has been proposed as a possible mechanism involved in MT toxicity on non-target organism.

Botrytis fruit rot is a major disease affecting strawberry production worldwide, involving several species. In this study, 1,222 isolates were collected from California and Northeastern U.S. strawberry fields to analyze their resistance phenotypes and genotypes. In this study, we evaluated the distribution and concentrations of a range of neonicotinoid insecticides (NNIs) and other insecticides, fungicides, biocides and selected herbicides in watersheds that drain into the lower Great Lakes in Ontario, Canada. Sclerotinia homoeocarpa causes dollar spot disease on turfgrass and is a serious problem on many species worldwide. Fludioxonil, a phenylpyrrole fungicide, is not currently registered for dollar spot control in China.
