BACKGROUND: We aimed to evaluate oncological and functional outcomes of index lesion HIFU ablation with Focal-One®.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We prospectively assessed treatment-naïve men with localized prostate cancer between 2017 and 2019. Inclusion criteria were stage cT ≤ 2, ≥5 years of life expectancy, grade group ≤3. Multiparametric magnetic resonance was performed before ablation. Patients with a prostate volume of ≥80 ml underwent debulking. Treatment failure was defined as a histologically confirmed tumor that required salvage treatment or androgen deprivation therapy.

The aim of this study was to create a fetal heart rate (FHR) reference curve for singleton bovine fetuses in the first trimester of gestation and to determine its possible relationship with the outcome of pregnancy. PURPOSE: High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is an emerging focal therapy for localized prostate cancer, offering an alternative to radical prostatectomy and radiotherapy while balancing oncological control and functional preservation. OBJECTIVES: To report the 10-year oncologic and functional outcomes of whole-gland HIFU as first-line treatment for localized prostate cancer (PCa).
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Patients were retrospectively included between January 2005 and July 2018 from a prospectively maintained database at a single academic institution. No patient underwent androgen deprivation therapy prior to HIFU. Primary endpoint was biochemical recurrence-free survival (BRFS). Secondary oncological endpoints included salvage treatment-free survival (STFS), cancer-specific survival (CSS) and overall survival (OS).
