This study examined posttraumatic growth (PTG) among Israeli volunteer first responders from ZAKA, an emergency response and disaster victim identification organization, following the October 7, 2023 attacks. Using a convergent mixed methods design, 123 responders completed measures of PTG, posttraumatic stress symptoms, meaning in life and related psychosocial variables, together with open-ended questions. PTG was positively associated with meaning dimensions, spiritual well-being, optimism, gratitude and meaning detecting, and negatively associated with posttraumatic stress symptom severity.

Considering the recent sociopolitical and environmental stress in Haiti, from the COVID pandemic to repeated natural disasters, we aimed to identify risk and protective factors associated with childhood physical violence (CPV) after the 2010 earthquake. A population-based national survey was administered to 13-24-year-old Haitians in 2012. A three-stage clustered sample design was utilized. INTRODUCTION: The tropical cyclone Idai hit Mozambique in the city of Beira on March 15, 2019. During the following days, the Portuguese Emergency Medical Team (PT EMT) and its infrastructure deployed to Mozambique with the mission of helping local people and collaborating with the authorities.

BACKGROUND: This study aims to verify the main psychometric properties of the Italian version of the Impact of Event Scale - Revised (IES-R) in a sample of flood victims.

Lessons learned from the Vietnam and Korean conflicts have emphasized the necessity of an organized preparedness for optimal management of casualties. The present report summarizes the experience of a tertiary care center in the present Lebanese war. The aim of this study was to examine the quality of the ante-(AM) and postmortem (PM) dental data that were submitted for entry into the PLASS data system in Phuket, Thailand, following the Boxing Day (December 26) Tsunami, 2004.
