BACKGROUND: Multiple neoplasms in a patient occur rarely. There has only been one case report about synchronous endometrial carcinoma and follicular lymphoma of the paraaortic and pelvic lymph node (LN) until now.

The presence of signet-ring cells in an endometrial adenocarcinoma is extremely uncommon and it is always necessary to rule out a metastatic neoplasm. We report a FIGO grade 2 endometrial carcinoma with a signet-ring cell component found in the curettage performed to a 53-year-old woman. Reproductive pathology of domestic guinea pigs is underreported to date. To provide a comprehensive review of uterine disease in guinea pigs, we performed a retrospective study of the pathology archives of the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine. AIM: The study was conducted to delineate the histological problems in diagnosing uterine mesenchymal tumors in morcellated material.
METHODS: All cases of morcellated uteri performed between 2008 and 2014 were reviewed. We restudied histologically and immunohistochemically 17 endometrial carcinomas, 2 malignant mixed tumors and 180 endometria with benign changes during or after tamoxifen therapy. The carcinomas were subtyped according to the 1994 WHO-classification. Endoscopic inspection of the endocervical canal (tracheloscopy) appears to be a rapid, reliable diagnostic technique to confirm the presence of endometrial neoplasms involving the endocervix found at fractional curettage. A series is presented in which 68% of patients with "positive" endocervical curettage were found to have no involvement of the endocervix by tracheloscopy and biopsy, which was confirmed by subsequent hysterectomy. The technique is discussed, and the use of this procedure in the staging of endometrial malignancies is recommended.
