Sebaceous carcinoma is a malignant neoplasm that occurs most commonly in the periorbital area, usually the eyelid. Its periocular location predisposes to smaller biopsies, thus complicating diagnosis. The neoplasm tends to exhibit aggressive local behavior, metastasizing to regional lymph nodes, and distant organs. INTRODUCTION: Endocrine mucin-producing sweat gland carcinoma (EMPSGC) is a low-grade carcinoma with predilection for the eyelid. It is analogous to solid papillary carcinoma of the breast with both expressing neuroendocrine markers and the potential to progress to invasive mucinous carcinoma (IMC). To describe a previously unreported neoplasm of the medial canthus and eyelid in dogs. Clinical and pathologic features of granular cell tumors in the dog were reviewed. Granular cell tumors, arising from the medial canthal eyelid of eight dogs, were identified from the archives of the Comparative Ocular Pathology Laboratory of Wisconsin (COPLOW). The rise of artificial intelligence has ushered in a wave of interest and research on its potential applications in ophthalmology, including oculoplastic surgery. This review summarizes current efforts to incorporate artificial intelligence in the management of various oculoplastic conditions, including eyelid neoplasms, blepharoptosis, thyroid eye disease, orbital fractures, orbital lesions, nasolacrimal duct obstruction, as well as patient education and counseling.

Sebaceoma is an infrequently diagnosed benign neoplasm with sebaceous differentiation. This tumor usually presents in areas rich in sebaceous glands, such as the face, scalp, or trunk. BACKGROUND: Mast cell tumours are the most common skin neoplasms in dogs, accounting for up to 21% of all cutaneous tumours. They typically appear as firm nodules, most often on the trunk, limbs, or head, and their biological behaviour depends on the grade. Clear cell hidradenocarcinomas are extremely rare neoplasms, with very few well-documented cases reported in the literature. The most common sites are the head and neck regions. These tumors are histologically malignant but are not always aggressive. They are known for recurrence and may metastasize widely. Treatment is wide local resection. We report on a case of clear cell hidradenocarcinoma occurring over the eyelid together with a review of the literature.
