Postmenopausal uterine bleeding is an indication to sample the endometrium for diagnostic purposes. The endometrial brush cytologies of 20 advanced postmenopausal women collected at the time of hysterectomy in order to benchmark the expected morphology of postmenopausal endometrial brushings were reviewed. This report describes an unusual epithelial proliferation occurring in pelvic cystic endosalpingiosis. A cyst mass lined by a layer of ciliated epithelial cells involved the posterior surface of the cervix and vagina. Dietary corn oil was consumed by Syrian golden hamsters at levels of 4.5 g [low fat (LF)] or 18 g [high fat (HF)]/385 kilocalories (kcal) from 3 to 7 weeks of age followed by a diet containing 9 g [medium fat (MF)]/385 kcal for life. Gross unremarkable bronchi and bronchioles from 22 lobectomy specimens containing primary adenocarcinoma were examined microscopically. Atypical duct hyperplasia of the breast is an unusual finding in the adolescent or young adult female. We report nine young women, ages 18-26 years (mean 21) with atypical duct hyperplasia.
