Efficacy of intranasal steroid spray (mometasone furoate) on treatment of patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis: comparison with oral corticosteroids.

OBJECTIVE: Intranasal corticosteroids are effective for allergic rhinitis and broadly used in daily clinical practice. Systemic oral corticosteroids are also known to be effective for treatment of allergic rhinitis. These topical and systemic corticosteroids are both effective formulations for allergic rhinitis, and both drugs have some side effects. When treatment formulations for allergic rhinitis are selected based on side effects, topical corticosteroids are more commonly selected than systemic steroids. Systemic corticosteroids, on the other hand, have traditionally been believed to have

Spray-dried polymeric nanoparticles for enhanced vodobatinib oral dissolution kinetics: formulation design and effects of hydrophobic co-core.

Vodobatinib, a third-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor, exhibits limited oral bioavailability in its crystalline form, necessitating intensive dosing regimens. Here, we sought to improve the oral dissolution kinetics of vodobatinib through the development of an amorphous formulation. Flash NanoPrecipitation, a scalable antisolvent precipitation technique, has previously been employed to formulate nanocarriers with amorphous cores for strongly hydrophobic small molecules. Vodobatinib is insufficiently hydrophobic for encapsulation by this route, so co-encapsulation of vodobatinib with one of

Palatable Orally Disintegrating Tablets of Losartan Potassium Developed by Spray-drying Technique and Direct Compression Intended for Pediatric Use.

Several diseases that affect the pediatric population, e.g., heart diseases, cannot be efficiently treated because of the absence of a suitable dosage form. In this sense, orally disintegrating tablets (ODT) are solid dosage forms that are gaining acceptance. Losartan potassium (LP) is the drug of choice for managing pediatric arterial hypertension, although its bitter taste represents a major challenge to treatment compliance. To mitigate this drawback, this study aimed to develop palatable ODT, by the incorporation of spray-dried powders (SDP), composed of LP, Eudragit® polymers and adjuvant

Piperine-pro-nanolipospheres as a novel oral delivery system of cannabinoids: Pharmacokinetic evaluation in healthy volunteers in comparison to buccal spray administration.

Nowadays, therapeutic indications for cannabinoids, specifically Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD) are widening. However, the oral consumption of the molecules is very limited due to their highly lipophilic nature that leads to poor solubility at the aqueous environment. Additionally, THC and CBD are prone to extensive first pass mechanisms. These absorption obstacles render the molecules with low and variable oral bioavailability. To overcome these limitations we designed and developed the advanced pro-nanolipospheres (PNL) formulation. The PNL delivery system is comprised o
