OBJECTIVE: Menière's disease (MD) is a clinical disorder that often provides challenges in diagnosis and management. High-quality evidence to guide care providers is sparse, which can result in significant practice variations. Quality indicators (QIs) are one method that can be used to standardize and measure accepted care practices to improve healthcare quality and patient outcomes. Here, we developed practical, high-yield QIs that serve to measure and inform the quality of care provided to patients with MD.

PURPOSE: To describe indicators used for the assessment of antenatal care (ANC) quality worldwide under the World Health Organization (WHO) framework and based on a systematic review of the literature.

This article presents the results of an analysis of the performance of primary health care in São Paulo state over the last decade against a backdrop of financial crisis and health funding cuts. We conducted a time series analysis (2010-2019) of performance indicators across the following dimensions based on an adapted conceptual framework: health service performance, health system, and determinants of health. Current practices for assessing quality in dialysis may not enable clinical teams to provide care which prioritizes each patient's needs and preferences. We consider how a more patient-centered approach, which synthesizes input from multi-level stakeholders, can be integrated with the next iteration of quality metrics in dialysis.

BACKGROUND: Although many quality indicator (QI) sets have been developed for acute cardiovascular diseases, a comprehensive summary is lacking. In this scoping review we aimed to summarize the available evidence on the QI sets for acute cardiovascular diseases, and assess the QI set development process. We followed the Joanna Briggs Institute framework and the PRISMA extension for scoping reviews.
METHODS: We conducted a systematic search of MEDLINE, EMBASE, and major international guidelines on QIs for acute major cardiovascular diseases. The study included articles published after 2000.
