A 54 years male presented with painless, indolent ulcers in the left axilla in an area approximately of 5 cm diameter. They were fixed to the underlying structures. Some lymph nodes eg, pectoral, apical and central groups were also enlarged. Incision biopsy for the margin of the ulcer was done. It showed adenocarcinoma of the sweat glands. Wide local incision with 2 cm margin of surrounding skin was performed. The patient was discharged after a course of adjuvant radiotherapy and is doing well.

Sweat gland carcinoma is a rare skin tumor. The tumor has propensity to spread to lymph nodes and distant metastases has been reported. Their exact incidence in the Indian setting is not known. Aspects related to treatment are also not clearly defined. Though surgery forms the initial treatment approach, adjuvant treatment has not been properly explored. We report here a case of sweat gland carcinoma with bilateral lung metastases.

Gustatory sweating syndrome involving the submandibular gland is rare. We present a case of a patient who experienced this syndrome 5 years after undergoing submandibular gland resection. Our patient was satisfied simply with an explanation of the disorder and reassurance. But in cases where further intervention is sought, medical and surgical options are available and should be individualized for the patient.

Mixed sweat-gland tumors were studied on 11 biopsies, of which two showed clear-cut morphological features of malignancy. Stress was laid upon the sudoriferous-duct histogenesis of such tumors. The cellular localization of immunoreactive tissue kallikrein and kininogen was studied in normal and psoriatic human skin.
