A 5 year old girl suffered from nearly total stenosis of the bronchus intermedius and exspiratory collaps of both main bronchi. Because of preterm birth she was postnatally intubated and mechanically ventilated for 6 weeks. Since broad experience concerning the stability of fibrin sealing is needed, it has become part of the routine program in orthopaedics and in traumatology. During a 15-month period, a total of 11 patients underwent endoscopic application of fibrin tissue adhesive in the upper gastrointestinal tract. Our sample consisted of 6 patients with control of bleeding, 4 patients with management of anastomotic leaks, and one very old man undergoing prophylactic sealing of a chronic gastric ulcer with a visible vessel and repeated episodes of bleeding. Therapeutic measures for acute pancreatitis depend on the severity of the disease and its complications.
