OBJECTIVE: To study the release of antiviral drug acyclovir (ACY) and antibacterial drug chlorhexidine diacetate (CDA) from synthesized copolymers of ethyl methacrylate and hexyl methacrylate of different molecular weights. The effect of the copolymer molecular weight and the effect of drug loading into the copolymer on the release of the drugs have been studied.

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the changes in morphology and activity of pulp odontoblasts in response to cavity restoration variables and patient factors.
METHODS: Class V non exposed cavities were prepared in the intact 1st or 2nd premolar teeth of 27 patients, aged between 9 and 17 years-old. Following tooth extraction, the area of reactionary dentine and the area of the odontoblasts were measured using computerised histomorphometry.

The aims of the study were to investigate the causes and prevalences of occupational dermatological reactions among Danish dentists. Questionnaires and telephone interviews with Danish dentists revealed that 37.8% reported skin reactions. In 27.2% of the cases the reactions were related to occupation, occurring with a point prevalence of 9.6%, and with a 1-yr period prevalence of 21.4%. OBJECTIVE: This study involves investigation of the use of video-imaging for measurement of volumetric shrinkage of composites.
METHODS: Six composites were tested for volumetric shrinkage using video-imaging. The volumetric shrinkage was measured using the single- and multi-view volumetric reconstruction modes.
