Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography in Pediatric Myopia and Amblyopia: A Review of Clinical Applications, Microvascular Biomarkers, and Treatment Monitoring.

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA) provides depth-resolved imaging of the retinal vascular system without invasion. Its rapid and non-invasive characteristics make it a promising tool for pediatric retinal imaging. Pediatric myopia and amblyopia can affect visual development and long-term visual prognosis. Early identification and dynamic monitoring are of great clinical significance. This paper retrieved English literature published from January 2006 to May 2026 in PubMed and Web of Science, and reviewed the application of OCTA in pediatric myopia and amblyopia. Existing studies

Microsurgical Clipping of an Unruptured Basilar Tip Aneurysm with a Posterior Thalamoperforating Artery Mimicking Dome Origin on Preoperative Angiography.

Basilar tip (BT) aneurysms are challenging due to their deep location and proximity to posterior thalamoperforating arteries (PThPAs) and the oculomotor nerve.1-5 Posterior circulation aneurysms have a higher rupture risk than those in the anterior circulation.6 Surgical complexity depends on aneurysm size, projection, and the relationship to the PThPAs, which may not be fully delineated by angiography, despite its gold standard role. Given the severe consequences of perforator occlusion, microsurgical treatment remains an important option in selected patients, offering direct anatomical clari

Semantic segmentation of the avascular zone of the fovea in optical coherence tomography angiography: evaluation of techniques and applications in ocular diseases.

INTRODUCTION: This study addresses the use of zero-shot learning (ZSL) for segmentation of the foveal avascular zone (FAZ) in optical coherence tomography (OCT) images obtained through the RedCheck® platform. Accurate FAZ segmentation is essential for ophthalmologic diagnoses in conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. The proposed method aims to overcome the limitation of labeled data, reducing both the cost and time associated with model training. METHODS: A total of 200 images from healthy patients were used. A neural network-based model was employed to

Fluorescence angiography with indocyanine green for low anterior resection in patients with rectal cancer: a prospective before and after study.

BACKGROUND: Inadequate bowel perfusion is among risk factors for colorectal anastomotic leaks. Perfusion can be assessed with indocyanine green fluorescence angiography (ICG) during colon resections. Possible benefits from its systematic use in high-risk patients with rectal cancer remain inconsistent. This study aimed to evaluate the surgical modifications induced by ICG assessment during rectal cancer surgery and associated anastomotic leaks. METHODS: This prospective before and after cohort study was conducted in a single Canadian high-volume colorectal surgery center. Eligible patients we
