This paper aims at evaluating the frequency of nasal cavity tumors in dogs as well as comparing an endoscopic examination with a histopathological evaluation of the collected biopsy specimens. The study was conducted on 68 dogs. During the endoscopic examination, proliferative lesions were recognized in 20 dogs. During the histopathological examination, neoplastic lesions were confirmed in 95% of the dogs in which proliferative lesions were identified in the endoscopic examination. Adenocarcinoma occurred most frequently in the population under study.

BACKGROUND: Eosinophilic angiocentric fibrosis (EAF) is a benign rare lesion of the upper respiratory mucosa. EAF most commonly presents with an obstructive nasal mass. Due to the rarity of EAF, case reports and case studies have predominated the literature. This systematic review discusses the demographics, clinical presentation, associated findings, management, and outcomes of this uncommon entity.

Lobomycosis is a chronic dermal infection affecting humans and small cetaceans. Low-grade nasal cavity adenocarcinoma is an unusual neoplasm. When it does occur, it often appears in conjunction with a history of epistaxis and nasal obstruction that spans a period of a few weeks to several months. The nasal dermal sinus cyst is one of many midline nasal masses that often pose diagnostic and treatment dilemmas for the plastic and reconstructive surgeon. The differential diagnosis of the midline nasal mass includes both congenital and acquired processes. A thorough understanding of its cause is crucial to treatment. A comprehensive discussion of the pathogenesis, diagnosis, sequelae, and surgical management, and a representative case analysis, of the nasal dermal sinus cyst is presented to delineate the role of open rhinoplasty in optimizing the care of this congenital nasal deformity.

Granuloma faciale, a rare, chronic, cutaneous disorder, is uncommon in children. Numerous treatment modalities have been used to treat granuloma faciale but none are consistently effective. In addition, many of the previously used therapies have unwanted side effects or are not well tolerated by children. We report a case of granuloma faciale in an 11-year-old child successfully treated with the pulsed dye laser. To our knowledge, this is the first report of this treatment modality for granuloma faciale.
