A method for axenic cultivation of epimastigote and metacyclic forms of Trypanosoma (Duttonella) vivax at 27 degrees C in vitro is described. Iscove's medium was supplemented with specific concentrations of foetal bovine serum, L-proline, L-glutamine hypoxanthine, adenosine, pyruvate, and 2-mercaptoethanol. Bloodstream form parasites rapidly transformed into epimastigote forms that grew as surface-adherent colonies in plastic culture flasks. Testicular ultrasound scanning was performed in 192 men with a history of cryptorchidism. The ultrasonic tissue pattern was evaluated and each testis was accordingly given a score on a scale from 1 to 4, 1 representing the normal uniform pattern and 4 being a very irregular pattern. The significance and incidence of skin thickness, hydroceles, and epididymal size were evaluated in cases of testicular neoplasm. Skin thickness is unreliable and should not be used to differentiate pathological conditions without standardizing technique. Small hydroceles are common in scrotal neoplasms. Epididymal enlargement was seen in many cases of testicular neoplasia and cannot be used alone as a criterion to differentiate malignant from nonmalignant states.

Eight infants with renal tumors diagnosed in the first month of life are presented. Three well-differentiated mesenchymal tumors were studied using angiographic and electron-microscopic techniques in addition to conventional histologic methods. The morphology of these unusual tumors is presented in detail and classification as benign fibromyoma or fibromyomatous hamartoma is defended. An association between renal tumors in the newborn and maternal polyhydramnios is also documented for the first time.

The largest documented episode of human contamination by PFOA in the world (approximately 150,000 actual residents on 1 January 2020) has occurred in Italy's Veneto Region. A 41-year-old man presented to his primary care physician with a 1-month history of left neck adenopathy in the context of a history of nonseminomatous germ cell tumors (NSGCTs). In 2011, the patient was treated for stage IB (T2N0M0S0) right-sided NSGCTs of the testis, which were 95% embryonal and 5% yolk sac tumors. He underwent a right radical orchiectomy and was followed until 2022 without recurrence. BACKGROUND: Testicular mixed germ cell tumor is common in the post-pubertal age, less so in prepuberty. There are only 3 reports of prepubertal mixed teratoma and yolk sac tumor. Two of these cases had immature teratoma component and were in the neonatal age group. The third case in a toddler had a mature teratoma component.
CASE REPORT: An 18-month-old boy presented with a testicular mass. Serum AFP was elevated (2200 ng/ml). The orchidectomy specimen contained a yolk-sac tumor and a small epidermoid cyst, indicating a mature teratomatous component.
CONCLUSION: We report a testicular mixed
