Integrins are a family of cell adhesion molecules (CAM's) that mediate the communication between the intracellular and the extracellular compartments. The blood coagulation and the fibrinolytic systems of nine patients envenomed by Bothrops jararaca in São Paulo (Brazil) were studied.
