INTRODUCTION: Situs inversus, polysplenia, complex jejuna atresia are rare anomalies in isolation. Their association in a single patient is even rarer with challenges in diagnosis and management.
PRESENTATION OF CASE: A 5 day old neonate presented with features of small bowel obstruction. Radiological investigations revealed situs inversus abdominalis with dilated proximal small bowel loops. At laparotomy, abdominal situs inversus, polysplenia, multiple jejunal atresias with apple peel appearance of the ileum with malrotation was seen.

A 72-year-old man was followed as an outpatient at our hospital for 6 years after surgery for small cell carcinoma of left adrenal gland origin. Gastric metastasis from ovarian cancer has rarely been reported. We herein report the case of a 64-year-old woman with gastric metastasis from ovarian cancer that was diagnosed as surgical stage IA. Diagnostic and staging laparotomy showed mucinous carcinoma of the right ovary. At one month after surgery, bone metastasis was detected via scintigraphy. Normal adnexal torsion is rare during pregnancy. We here report the case of a 22-year old patient presenting with acute lateropelvic pain associated with a 2-month history amenorrhea. Exploratory laparotomy showed severe ischemia due to torsion in a normal ovary. The patient underwent adnexal detorsion without ovarian pexy. The postoperative course was uneventful. To report the first known case of a completely intracorporeal robotic-assisted laparoscopic ileal ureter in the pediatric population, a 12-year-old boy with near-complete replacement of his right ureter with nephrogenic adenoma and resulting debilitating renal colic. We report a rare case of delayed intestinal ischemia after total arch replacement for type A acute aortic dissection. At the onset of acute aortic dissection, computed tomography (CT) angiography revealed celiac trunk occlusion and progressive dissection into the superior mesenteric artery without stenosis. INTRODUCTION: Features of low tension in breast hydatid cyst and symptoms secondary to cyst dying and disintegration are unique and not yet reported in the literature.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: An young woman of 30 years complained about pain and vague swelling in the right breast during follow-up with albendazole therapy following second laparotomy for post-surgical residual cavity of hydatid cyst in the left lobe of the liver. Breast ultrasound was diagnostic.
RESULTS: Segmental breast excision revealed a large dead hydatid cyst. Postoperative course was uneventful.

Spontaneous rupture of the external iliac vein associated with a May-Thurner syndrome is infrequent, particularly in men. We report a case of previously healthy 73-year-old man with a left iliac vein thrombosis, who presented a large lower left abdominal hematoma of sudden-unset. A case of neglected, double-site, post-traumatic duodenal rupture, which was overlooked at the emergency laparotomy due to intra-abdominal bleeding is presented. For nine days the excessive laceration remained asymptomatic, probably because of visceral adhesions.
