Nth Slice Eraser: An Automated Algorithm to Ease Editing Workflow of Organ Contours Generated by Artificial Intelligence.

The time-consuming process of manual contouring of healthy tissue and organs in radiation therapy has prompted the development of computational systems to aid and automate this process, such as artificial intelligence (AI) segmentation and interpolation algorithms. These algorithms are useful in saving time, however, they are not always accurate. Fixing such inaccuracies by editing contours is a manual, time-consuming process as no 'undo' feature currently exists in the most commonly used treatment planning system (TPS). In this short technical report, we present our script for automated de-in

Introducing Artificial Intelligence in Interpretation of Foetal Cardiotocography: Medical Dataset Curation and Preliminary Coding-An Interdisciplinary Project.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining increasing interest in the field of medicine because of its capacity to process big data and pattern recognition. Cardiotocography (CTG) is widely used for the assessment of foetal well-being and uterine contractions during pregnancy and labour. It is characterised by inter- and intraobserver variability in interpretation, which depends on the observers' experience. Artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted interpretation could improve its quality and, thus, intrapartal care. Cardiotocography (CTG) raw signals from labouring women were extracted from the dat

Pre-trained artificial intelligence language model represents pragmatic language variability central to autism and genetically related phenotypes.

Many individuals with autism experience challenges using language in social contexts (i.e., pragmatic language). Characterizing and understanding pragmatic variability is important to inform intervention strategies and the etiology of communication challenges in autism; however, current manual coding-based methods are often time and labor intensive, and not readily applied in ample sample sizes. This proof-of-concept methodological study employed an artificial intelligence pre-trained language model, Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers, as a tool to address such challenges.

"Artificial intelligence-driven infection risk prediction in ventriculoperitoneal shunting: a novel approach for normal pressure hydrocephalus treatment".

Idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) affects approximately 1.5% of the population, with a higher prevalence in men than women. Ventriculoperitoneal shunting (VPS) is the standard treatment for iNPH, but it poses a notable risk of infection, occurring in 8-10% of cases. Recent advancements in non-invasive diagnostic techniques, such as superb microvascular ultrasound (SMI), have demonstrated potential in evaluating cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow within VPS systems. A single-center feasibility study involving 19 asymptomatic patients with VPS systems showed that SMI reliably detected
