PURPOSE: A number of factors have been associated with soft tissue recession following single implant treatment. INTRODUCTION: Autotransplantation of the third molar is a viable option for replacing missing molars and has some benefits. This case report showed successful autotransplantation with simultaneous sinus floor elevation and implant installation.
METHODS: The patient suffered a loss of maxillary molars and had a pneumatized maxillary sinus under the area in need of restorative treatment. Instead of implant installation in the molar area, we performed autotransplantation of the mandibular third molar with simultaneous sinus floor elevation with the aid of computer-aided rapid prototyping model.
