Malignancy Prediction of Breast Lesion with Calcifications via Radiomics Analysis Based on Intratumoral and Peritumoral Regions of Ultrasound Images.

RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES: To evaluate whether intratumoral habitats and peritumoral regions on ultrasound (US) images enhance radiomics-based diagnosis of calcified breast lesions. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Mammography-confirmed calcified breast lesions were retrospectively collected from a single center and divided into training and internal test sets. An external test set of 84 cases was obtained from two public datasets. Pathology was the reference for biopsied lesions, while benignity in non-biopsied cases required ≥24-month follow-up. Intratumoral clustering defined optimal habitat numbers.

Enhancing context-aware SARS disorder management: a proposed multi-agent simulation framework with machine learning and bio-sensor data integration.

In this work, SARS disorder denotes a generic acute severe respiratory distress condition characterized by abnormal respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, fever, and cardiovascular stress indicators, and does not represent a COVID-19 diagnostic system. Our research aims at analyzing a context-aware SARS disorder management system through the implementation of a multi-agent simulation framework using the NetLogo setting. The system relies on the use of interacting agents as well as non-monotonic, context-sensitive reasoning to reduce uncertainty and deal with the possible inconsistencies that hap

Prediction of low birth weight using machine learning-based analysis of environmental and maternal risk factors: insights from the Korean CHildren's ENvironmental health study (Ko-CHENS).

Adverse birth outcomes such as low birth weight (LBW) increase the risk of metabolic disorders and hypertension later in life. Although previous studies have examined obstetric factors or environmental exposures in relation to LBW, few have assessed both simultaneously. This study employed cohort data to predict LBW using machine learning (ML) algorithms that integrate maternal characteristics and environmental factors. We analyzed nationwide prospective birth cohort data from the Korean CHildren's ENvironmental health Study (Ko-CHENS). A total of 47 variables were evaluated using nine ML mode
