Cellular blue nevus is an uncommon neoplasm in the conjunctiva. Here we present an unusual case of a cellular blue nevus that clinically resembled conjunctival melanoma. A 29-year-old Chinese male was found to have a giant pigmented lesion of the conjunctiva around the limbal area of right eye from birth. We present the first reported case with typical endoscopic and histological findings from Thailand. An 80-year-old man presented with chronic periumbilical abdominal pain for 3 months and melena for one week. He had had hypertension for 17 years, chronic renal failure for 4 years and gouty arthritis for 3 years. Three children with giant pigmented nevi were treated by repeated tissue expansion. Five flaps were expanded twice, and one flap was expanded three times. The delay between expansions was 4 to 15 months (mean 9 months). With full inflation, vascularization of the flap remained good. However, every new expansion decreased flap length by 50 percent. In order to investigate the function of the inner ear melanin, the relationship between skin pigmentation and noise-induced temporary hearing loss (TTS) was studied.
