The new generation of bisphosphonates are often used in the treatment of osteoporosis or for certain tumors with bone defects. Between the period of September 2005 and May 2006 we have treated 8 patients at our clinic with a bisphosphonate-induced osteonecrosis in the maxillofacial region. All of these patients went through intravenous bisphosphonate treatment earlier. We have chosen two cases, where the appearance of side effects can be named as typical. INTRODUCTIONThis protocol provides a method for the synchronization of a monolayer culture of CHO cells in G(1) using isoleucine deprivation. Since CHO cells can also be adapted to grow in suspension culture, this procedure can be used to obtain larger quantities of cells. Eighty patients with carcinoma in the middle third of oesophagus and with acute radiation oesophagitis following external beam and intracavitary radiotherapy were managed by two different schedules. In 1986, epidemic of tsutsugamushi disease of autumn-winter type was found in Jiangsu province. To clarify the vector of this disease, we carried out a series of studies in 1986-1992. Amoxicillin was given as single doses of 375, 700, 1500, 3000 and 6000 mg an oral suspension to four volunteers with an ileostomy and with no active intestinal disease after an overnight fast. To determine the effectiveness of the surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, we retrospectively evaluated 80 patients. One group consisted of 55 patients who had undergone a limited osteotomy of the anterior mandible: inferior sagittal osteotomy with hyoid myotomy and suspension. Mammary adenosis is a very common affliction which, it has been calculated, affects between 7 and 15% of women of child-bearing age. A case of human cryptosporidiosis, the first one reported in Czechoslovakia, is described. The disease was diagnosed by the presence of Cryptosporidium oocysts in the feces. Cynomolgus monkeys were injected intravitreally with a colloidal suspension of carbon microparticles (size 20-70 nm) under aseptic surgical conditions.
