We report the case of a 45-year-old woman who palpated a voluminous painless lump in the superior outer quadrant of her left breast. Her past medical history revealed an acute myeloid leukemia (AML) treated and considered in remission 1 month prior to this discovery. Imaging work-up by mammogram, US, and MRI showed multiples masses suspect of malignancy in both breasts. There is little information on herpes zoster infection in breast cancer patients as a complication during adjuvant chemotherapy. We report a case of herpes zoster in a 65-year-old woman presented with low grade fever and vital signs together with skin symptoms such as severe edema, irritation and itching in the left breast where there was wound drainage. PCR test revealed varicella zoster virus. To the best of our knowledge, the histologic features coupled with PCR led to a diagnosis of herpes zoster.

Although most breast spindle cell lesions (BSCLs) are rare, they constitute a wide spectrum of diseases, ranging from reactive processes to aggressive malignant tumours. BACKGROUND: Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is a non-invasive form of breast cancer. It is often associated with invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC), and is considered to be a non-obligate precursor of IDC. It is not clear to what extent these two forms of cancer share low-risk susceptibility loci, or whether there are differences in the strength of association for shared loci.
METHODS: To identify genetic polymorphisms that predispose to DCIS, we pooled data from 38 studies comprising 5,067 cases of DCIS, 24,584 cases of IDC and 37,467 controls, all genotyped using the iCOGS chip.

Squamous cell carcinoma(SCC)of the breast is rare and its clinicopathological features have not been fully elucidated. We report a patient with SCC of the right breast who underwent surgical resection. A 51-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of a right breast tumor. A round tumor with an irregular surface measuring about 3.0×2.5 cm was palpable in the ACarea of the right breast. No abnormal data were observed on laboratory examination, including tumor markers such as carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA), cancer antigen 15-3(CA15-3), breast cancer antigen 225(BCA225), and SCC antigen.

Pituitary metastasis occur in 1-5 % of patients with cancer. We report the discovery of a unique pituitary metastasis of breast cancer. A 67 years old woman was treated in 2003 for local adenocarcinoma. After bone metastatic relapse in 2008, the patient developed diplopia and diabetes insipidus.
