OBJECTIVE: Arthroplasty is the common treatment for intracapsular femoral neck fractures in the elderly. Recent studies have shown that there may be more overall complications related to uncemented hemiarthroplasty compared to cemented, including more subsidence, intraoperative fractures, and postoperative fractures. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of microwave ablation combined with curettage in the treatment of long bone metastases.
METHODS: From April 2010 to June 2015, 38 patients with long bone metastases were adopted, who all underwent microwave ablation combined with curettage with 40 lesions involved in Department of Orthopaedic Oncology, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY: The aim of the study was to evaluate our seven-year experience with the anatomic, non-constrained SVL/Beznoska implant for total knee replacement.
MATERIAL: A total of 374 cemented total knee replacements, using the SVL/Beznoska implant, were evaluated in 333 patients treated at the First Orthopedic Clinic Charles University in Prague, during a seven-year period.
