BACKGROUND: Interleukin (IL)-17A is involved in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis (AR). Increased expression of IL-17A is correlated with disease severity and nasal eosinophilia. However, the molecular mechanisms by which IL-17A contributes to T-helper 2 cytokine IL-13-driven pathology in AR remain unclear. BACKGROUND: In present study we performed whole transcriptome analysis in plaque psoriasis patients and compared lesional skin with non-lesional skin and with the skin from healthy controls. We sequenced total RNA from 12 lesional (LP), 12 non-lesional (NLP) and from 12 normal (C) skin biopsies.

PURPOSE: This study aimed to investigate the effects of wearing a compression garment (CG) for 24 h on changes in muscular strength and blood parameters over time after resistance exercise.
METHODS: Nine trained men conducted resistance exercises (10 repetitions of 3-5 sets at 70% of one-repetition maximum (1RM) for nine exercises) in two trials, wearing either a CG or a normal garment (CON) for 24 h after exercise.
